Google rolls out Live Updates in New Zealand
Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 10:35AM Live Updates instantly updates Search Results with new listings as they are discovered and indexed by Google. Two days after launching on Google.com; Live Updates are available on Google.co.nz and can be seen on any topical search.
This is a major update to Google's Search technology and brings "real-time search", the concept of all new information instantly indexed and available, one step closer.
To see it in action just go to Google and search on anything topical, "global warming" or "tiger woods" for example, and on the results page you will notice a section labeled "Latest Results for... " that updates every few seconds with news stories, tweets, blog postings, press releases etc.
